ARC Community Party During Asia Crypto Week

Published at: September 30, 2022

ARC, a unique members-only app based community enabled by NFTs as proof of access, has a unique "allow-listing" mechanism of getting interested parties to fill out a form to apply to be a Pyxis holder. The Pyxis mint is a soul-bound token that cannot be traded and is bound to the wallet identity that minted it. People who demonstrate potential to co-create and/or add value to the community are given the opportunity to mint a Pyxis, as the team looks through applications one-by-one.

About 2-3 weeks ago, the founders Elroy Cheo, Kiat Lim and JJ Lin announced on a Twitter Spaces that they will open mint for the top tier membership, Stellars, at 3ETH. There was some exclamation in the community as many were unsure about why they should pay so much for a chance to contribute. It seemed counterintuitive and expensive, excluding potential contributors who may not have 3ETH to spare. In response to this, the founders shared that they are already building a product, so 3ETH is for a product already in existence, and they're aiming to start the community with people who share their vision and belief in the project.

As reported by Vulcan Post, ARC hosted a private party yesterday in Singapore, during the Asia Crypto Week. The star-studded guest list includes Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin, American rapper Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus, Japanese rapper Verbal Ambush, Kevin Nishimura from hip-hop group Far East Movement, local crypto influencer Irene Zhao, socialite and entrepreneur Arissa Cheo, host-cum-actress Jaime Teo and entrepreneur Tjin Lee. Twitterverse testifies it was an amazing event for the community, and people are getting bullish. See tweets from Lunasea, Kuromi, JT, and Frederick Fung about the event.
