A super exciting new way to monetize in web3 is now available to content creators. While long-form video has been basically impossible to mint and sell as an NFT due to the file size, Decent and the402 have joined together to enable creators to mint livestreams. The tech was kicked off with the stream and mint of “Beg for It” by X&ND using Decent's Creator HQ, which uses their upgraded editions contract. The inaugural livestream mint sold 20 NFTs to X&ND fans. This feature is also available on Soundxyz, ZORA, Manifold, and Mintplex. Evaflow also minted out his genesis sound drop “Wake Up” via a Livestream with Soundxyz. Web3 musicians have struggled to get a foothold in web3 and this technology could bring them closer to creating a sustainable way to monetize their work while growing and engaging their communities.
