Credit Suisse are Empowering Women in Football Through NFTs

Published at: July 12, 2023

Swiss banking giant, Credit Suisse, is launching NFTs to empower women's football. Markedly, they're teaming up with the Swiss Football Association for the launch of the collection. The collection is made up of 756 NFTs and will launch on July 11th on the Ethereum blockchain. Each one will represent and feature the talented women football players of the Swiss Football Association. The prices will range from $167 to $11,000, with different tiers for each. Notably, each tier comes with unique perks, such as physical artwork, signed football shirts, and meet and greets with the players.

Additionally, by purchasing one of the NFTs, fans are supporting and empowering women in football. This is because all proceeds from the NFT sales will be directly dedicated to the development of the football team as well as other organizations that have a focus on empowering women in the sport. The partnership between Credit Suisse and the Swiss Football Association comes after several other football clubs have launched NFTs and started to embrace web3 and the metaverse. More recently, the focus has shifted to women's football. Barcelona Football Club has recently launched a collection with World of Women celebrating player, Alexia Putellas.
