Even in this bear market, one collection that has been doing well is The Memes by 6529 Collection. This Friday saw the collection drop Meme Card #44, appropriately titled "Vibe Check" from @DrifterShoots, a well-known web3 photographer-artist who often shoots from high, risky, and/or unique vantage points. Each meme card has varying edition sizes, usually mints at a price of 0.06529ETH, and the card is CC0.
The Memes began on 9 June 2022 by @punk6529 with two objectives: (1) to spread our messages far and wide, in as many places as possible, and (2) to run experiments in emergent community behaviour. Examples of messages are apparent in the Season 1 memes, such as "Freedom To Transact," which at this time of writing is the highest priced meme card in the collection on the secondary market at 11.69ETH.
Punk6529 has been vocal about building an Open Metaverse. He persists in remaining anonymous, though rumours say he is a well-known figure in the London art collection scene.
