Louis Vuitton Launching VIA Treasure Trunk NFT Collection

The luxury brand, Louis Vuitton, is launching a new NFT collection. Markedly, the collection showcases the iconic LV Trunk that was originally introduced in 1858. Through purchasing the NFTs, collectors can have access to exclusive, immersive experiences and limited-edition drops. There are a few hundred trunk NFTs included in the collection, and there will be a waiting list for those wanting to get involved starting on June 8th. If selected and in one of the target countries, collectors will have access to the VIA portal on June 16th. It's important to note that the price for the NFTs is approximately a huge $42,000. Additionally, the NFTs won't be eligible for resale straight away, but Louis Vuitton has said that collectors will be able to trade, sell, and buy the Treasure Trunks on various NFT marketplaces in the future.

Louis Vuitton has been one of several luxury brands diving into web3, and the brand has been embracing the fast-paced NFT world for some time now. In fact, Louis Vuitton's parent company, LVMH, joined the Aura Blockchain Consortium back in 2019, along with other luxury brands such as Prada and Cartier. Additionally, Louis Vuitton launched a web3 game in 2021 and has previously launched NFTs.
