Phygital Fashion Is Here to Stay

No matter where you stand on the word “phygital,” physical + digital fashion is here to stay. New York Fashion Week is in full swing and blockchain and AR are on the runways. Not only is NYFW being streamed live in the metaverse, but Vivienne Tam partnered with Yuga Labs to bring their iconic IP to high fashion, featuring Punks, BAYC, Cyberkongz, and Awkward Astronaut in Tam’s runway collection. 

In other phygital news, Nike X RTFKT just closed up their IRL + URL clothing forge for CloneX, and WonderPals has partnered with Cider, an a16z-funded rival to Chinese fast fashion behemoth, SHEIN (incidentally, also a16z-funded).
