Samsung Partners with Illuvium to Enhance Web3 TV Experience


Samsung teamed up with one of the leading games in Web3, Illuvium, to raise awareness about its newest Web3 TV bundles. According to an announcement made on August 9, the partnership will focus on integrating Illuvium's NFTs with Samsung's Web3 TVs, allowing users to display in-game items like weapons, Illuvials, and suits directly on their television screens.

Bringing Digital Art into Life


Illuvium is thrilled about the fact and expclaims, "This integration brings digital art to life on the big screen, turning your home TV into an impressive display for your art, expanding the boundaries of home entertainment." This deal with Samsung promises to give millions of homes around the world a new dimension of digital experience.

Samsung's Big Reveal at Gamescom


Later this month, Samsung will officially be announcing the strategic partnership with Illuvium at the Gamescom convention in Sydney. This strategic partner will take center place at Samsung's booth, where visitors will be able to test the three experiences of Illuvium: Overworld, Arena, and Zero.

Unique Prizes and NFTs


These participants will further have the ability to win exclusive prizes, including 10 of Samsung's GEN3RATOR NFTs. In addition, if a holder has both GEN3RATOR and Samsung Gen3 Chip NFTs, he will get special access to 2,000 digital artworks under other partner projects. Following the announcement, the ILV token of Illuvium was trading up 10% according to data from CoinGecko.

Samsung Steps into Web3


Samsung originally started venturing into Web3 when it released its NFT Platform back in May 2022. The platform enabled users to discover, buy, and showcase NFTs on their smart TVs. Tokens featured on this platform were sourced from Nifty Gateway, one of the popular auction sites for NFTs.

GEN3GATE Launched


This April, Samsung launched a Web3 TV bundle it called GEN3GATE. The bundle will feature two smart TVs from the company fitted with a Web3 wallet and a Ledger Nano X with special edition casing, together with a GEN3RATOR NFT. The latter is kind of a "digital tool" enabling access to special features like sweepstakes, discounts, events, or new television functions.

Scaling up Samsung's Web3 Network


It has also partnered with several leading Web3 projects for its Web3 network, such as the extremely popular play-to-earn crypto game Illuvium, NFT collector's item World of Women, Polygon Ethereum scaling solution, and the Belvedere Museum .

Early Web3 Initiatives from Samsung


It was back in 2019 that Samsung was reported to start eyeing Web3, first by introducing the Samsung Blockchain Wallet App. Shortly afterwards, in the same year, the release of the Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK had mobile devices launching Ethereum-based apps for developers.
