Despite the seemingly endless bear market, world-class Web2 companies continue to show how bullish they are about the future of Web3 and blockchain-based business. Recently, SIMS creator, Will Wright, announced that his company, Gallium Games, will be developing a Web3 game called VOXVerse in partnership with Web3-native company Gala Games. Wright and his co-founder, Lauren Elliot (co-creator of the Carmen Sandiego franchise) signed a deal with Gala Games for $25 million to bring Gala’s already existing NFT characters to life in a playable metaverse, which will involve mining, building, and social interaction in a metaverse world with digital real estate.
