Starbucks Odyssey launches the Siren Collection

Published at: March 13, 2023

Starbucks' web3 loyalty program, Starbucks Odyssey, released its limited collection of NFTs this week. The collection is part of the 'Stamps' series, and quickly sold out in just 18 minutes. The 'Siren Collection' is the first drop to be released through the Stamps series. The collection of 2,000 NFTs features the coffee giant's iconic siren symbol. Members of Starbucks Odyssey were able to buy up to two NFTs (or stamps) at $100 each. Users were given the choice to pay using a credit card or their MetaMask wallet.

Since the mint, the price has rocketed. The floor price rose to $500 and is currently just under $400 at the time of writing. One NFT sold for $1700 and the total secondary market volume is already $121,795. Starbucks has been open about exploring the web3 space and blockchain tools. They launched Starbucks Odyssey in the hopes of further connecting with customers to build the "next-generation loyalty platform." The coffee brand has said they want to make their web3 experience as user-friendly as possible, thus customers are able to buy Starbucks NFTs with a credit card and don't necessarily need to be tech or crypto-savvy.
