Trump to Launch Fourth NFT Collection

Donald Trump is getting ready to launch his fourth NFT collection, as he told Bloomberg Businessweek in an interview. Trump said his previous NFT collections did good business, getting sold out quickly: "We sold 45,000 cards in one day. I did it three times and will repeat it because people want it. The enthusiasm is incredible."

Previous Success and Future Plans

During a gala held at Mar-a-Lago for his NFT holders, Donald Trump himself mentioned a fourth collection in May, in which he expressed some kind of hesitation, saying, "Supply and demand matter. The first three did great, and maybe one day it won't be the same."

More Support from the Crypto Community

While the crypto community seems to be encouragingly warming up to Trump's reelection, he appears to grow incrementally more comfortable with NFTs and crypto. The campaign started accepting crypto donations back in May. A Wall Street Journal report found that out of $331 million in campaigns raised last quarter, about $3 million was in crypto.

Pro-Bitcoin Senator as Running Mate

Only recently, Trump announce the pro-Bitcoin senator J.D. Vance as his running mate. Far from that now, chief players in the crypto space—Kraken co-founder Jesse Powell and Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss—have all been large contributors to Trump's campaign and its associated PACs, most notably the Trump-focused America PAC and crypto-friendly Fairshake.

Trump Embraces Crypto

Speaking to Bloomberg Businessweek about crypto, Trump said, "It is here to stay. It's incredible." He also mentioned that he had gotten the opportunity to meet a lot of leaders in the crypto industry due to his fund-raisers, referring to them as "top-notch people."

Although previously a crypto opponent, now for Bloomberg Businessweek, Trump has changed his mind. He stated that if the U.S. doesn't change its stance towards being more positive about cryptocurrency, other countries will own it—that would be China in that case. "We have a very great base," Trump told Bloomberg Businessweek of the U.S. crypto space. "It's getting so big, and I don't want any other country to take that away."
