Yuga Labs Acquires Beeple's WENEW and 10KTF

Yuga Labs continue to grow their Web3 ecosystem through the addition of Beeple's flagship NFT project, 10KTF, and WENEW to their portfolio of NFT projects. The parent company of Bored Ape Yacht Club have already acquired projects CryptoPunks and Meebits, and have partnered with popular project World of Women since their launch in April 2021.

Beeple's flagship project, 10KTF, is a story-telling NFT project based on fictional digital artisan, Wagmi-San, who develops custom fashion pieces for holders of certain projects - including Bored Apes - to have added to their PFP artwork. They also create physical pieces based on NFT artwork and have previously partnered with fashion brands Gucci and Puma. WENEW, a marketplace offering collectible moments in time, boast a number of brand collaborations such as Louis Vuitton, Universal Music Group, and Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. WENEW co-founders Mike "Beeple" Winkelmann and Micheal Figge will join the Yuga Labs team as advisor and CCO respectively.

Yuga Labs have hinted at the possibility of character, Wagmi-san, joining their metaverse platform, Otherside, and sales of 10KTF have rocketed in the charts on Opensea following the acquisition. Amidst the FTX chaos, a Yuga Labs co-founder tweeted that the collapse "hasn't affected us."
